A new Angel Moroni- MTN Crane Can do it!

"Let's build a Temple..." was a song I remember from my childhood and here we get to help at our own Temple right down the street.

When this opportunity came up Paul jumped at it! This was an honor for our crane company to replace the burnt Angel Moroni with a new shiny one.

The boys didn't want their pictures taken they were more interested in Angel Moroni-do you blame them?

Mom & Mike joined us for the event along with camera crews, newspapers
and many spectators (mom of course got her picture in the newspaper).

Each Angel Moroni is autographed! Skyler is in the back checking his text messages:)

Here you can see the burnt trumpet and arm this happened from lightening a few months prior. One crane held up the man basket with people in it to attach the Moroni to the other crane.

It was Porters 1st Birthday! He got to share it with his family at the Temple:)

I had this sign in my car from a marathon & thought I'd cheer on the crane operators. They got a kick out of it!

Witches Nite Out

Witches Nite Out is always a good time!

Boo at the Zoo

When we got to the Zoo all Logan could say was "Let's go to the Giraffes first" which happen to be the furthest point away from the entrance. I got my workout.

I brought my little critters to the Zoo on members day and it was crazy.

The baby elephant is the cutest little thing!

Family Outing

Its October!

I love October-pumpkin bread, treats, costumes, pumpkin patches, and decorating.

Thanks Aunt Britt for the Halloween Pancake molds-way cute!

Running around Grandma's with part of our Halloween costume on.

My mom is always trying to take pictures of us but most of them turn out like this...so I usually give up!

BYU Football

GO BYU! We got some awesome Season tickets this year. Too bad the 1st home game was against Florida State-so sad:(

Sky + I in the tent at half time=too many calories. Chocolate & Carmel fountains, ice cream, popcorn and my fav hot dogs with special sauce.

Here's Aunt Meg & Jeff who joined us for the Colorado State Game.

We ran into the Hope Family who I grew up with in Temecula at the
Utah State Game.

Fall Soccer

Our cute Little Logan got to play with a bunch of his buddies this fall. There were only 6 games so I figured no big deal. But as always we were doing so many things that Logan only made it to the first 2 games-oh well-he did great.

Running with his tongue out

Tongue is still out

The first game he scored his first goal (in the opponents net) we were all excited regardless.

Go Logan Go!

Memorial Day Tradition

We hit our usual destination during the 3 day weekend...Park City. We love checking out the Showcase of Homes (this is the 1st time we hit all 15), eating yummy food and having fun with the boys.

Logan loves his Aunt Megan but as he calls her "Megan with glasses" (thats honestly what he calls her because one of his sitters' name is Megan). If she doesn't have glasses on he tells her to put them on.

Alpine Slide

Chairlift ride

We met up with Em and Matt for lunch.

Cheese...show us those toofers.

Park City Mtn Resort had all kinds of fun kids things. We hit all the rides on Tuesday when all the crowds were gone-it was perfect.

Cute Daddy!
Thanks Daddy! I get way too dizzy.

Porter lasted 2 circles before he had to get off:(

Meg and I got to go on the zip line-way fun! And the Alpine Roller Coaster is insane-seriously! I was screaming.

Little Pals Preschool

Logan loves going to Preschool! He loves his friends and his teacher Miss Linda. They even do fun field trips each month. The first field trip was to the Cove's Pond where they did a nature scavenger hunt, fed the ducks and even fished.

This week they took a field trip to Smiths Grocery store-they wore hair nets, decorated cookies and even got a bag full of treats. They do the cutest things!

The week before the grocery store field trip the kids learned about different hats that people wear in our community. I was in charge of snacks so Hello Cupcake had something just perfect...they turned our pretty cute.

There is a sailor, fireman, cowboy and chef.

Hat Day! Except for my kid looks like he didn't cooperate.

The hat Logan chose for hat day was an In-N-Out hat...Logan you have chosen wisely.

We are not a bit surprised!

BYU vs. Oklahoma

Guys Trip to Texas! They had a blast-golf, food and BYU football.

Paul couldn't stop talking about the stadium and big TV screens.

Go Cougars!

They have fans on the golf course because its so hot and humid in Texas.

Four!!!

Utah State Fair

We have never made it to the fair and it was close to the last day so I packed up the kids. We saw many stinky animals, got drizzled on, played a few carnival games where I spent more than the prizes were worth, and ate some high carb foods. Needless to say I had my fill and we can go a few more years before we go again. Boyz 2 Men were playing that night which would have been a kick to see (8th grade all over again).
Check out this kids eyebrows-they make me laugh. And so does the fact that his hair is too long and not done.

IHOP

Daddy was out of town so we decided to go to IHOP for Logan's 1st time. He had fun with all the different colored syrups but he did eventually eat the pancakes. It was funny because Logan ordered sausage and the waitress brought bacon and Logan quickly corrected her...i ordered sauage. I was a little embarassed that my 3 year old was correcting her but it was kind of funny.

I grew up going to IHOP all the time and as kids we were even in a commerical because my Uncle Scott's advertising company wrote them. We wore the goofy glasses with the big nose it was the time the rooty tooty fresh n fruity came out.

Matt's Farewell

It was way fun to have a luau for a farewell (easy party planning...tiki torches, roasting a pig (almost! I was so close!) leis, yummy fruit and flower attire. We used dried bamboo leaves to wrap inside and outside the invite-turned out good.
Matt is Emily's boyfriend who recently decided to go on a mission! We love him as much as we luv our Em. He heads out September 16th to the Honolulu Hawaii Mission-what a mission! We promised we would occupy Em's time with babysitting...yeah for us:)
We joined Matt as he received his endowments on Sept 3rd and it was so exciting to be there with his whole family-his closest cousin went through too! We are so thrilled for Matt-he is a fabulous kid and gave an amazing talk at his farewell...my favorite part...I'm in a band.

Crane Competition

We had 5 teams compete to build a crane out certain materials in a short time frame. It was pretty fun to watch all the guys at work. They got different amounts of points for load capacity, radius etc.

2 Engineers, 2 Skylers & a crane owner & an electrician=too many chiefs

Their crane was a bust! But the losers got to driver a beater van and crash all the other cranes down!

Logan loves to throw sticks & rocks in the river-his favorite is to play pooh sticks on the bridge.

Porter is obsessed with 4 wheeling-he loves it!

The Mundays made their famous Tri-tip...thank you thank your thank you!

Temple Dedication

My mom got tickets to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Dedication (of course...she gets tickets to everything!) and I was the lucky one who got to go with her-Skyler waited outside. We sat in one of the endowment rooms to watch it being broad casted from the Celestial room.

The talks were amazing and once the Dedicatory Prayer begun the Spirit was so strong. I'm so grateful I was able to be there! It was even President Monson's 82nd birthday.

After the service was over we waited in our room to leave, the Prophet and other speakers were leaving first. As I waited by the door a man popped his head in our room and I was so shocked it was President Monson the Prophet of the Lord right in front of me! I was giddy like a little kid-the usher asked the children to come up and none of them did so I went ahead and shook his hand and the only words I could think of was "Happy Birthday" I was still in shock. Dieter Uchdorf and a few others were also with him. He was the happiest cutest man ever! It will be a day I never forget.

I already love this Temple so much! I was able to volunteer as physical facilities and help restock bathrooms and keep everything clean inside and out during the Open House. I was able to clean and vacuum inside the Temple-3 days before the Temple dedication with a few friends. And our crane company was able to replace the Angel Moroni with a clean new one.

I am so encouraged to double my efforts in my Temple Attendance as the brethren have said-The Oquirrh Temple is such a blessing!

10 Year reunion

Elizabeth & I pose in front of the door just like in high school!

Craig Blois was one of buddies who I was glad showed up.

It is so funny because I was so excited to see Eliza even though we live 5 minutes away from each other. It always takes an event for us to get together.

Jill Vasant another one of my good buds I was thrilled to see. I didnt get many pictures because as you can imagine I was talking the whole night. It was like a weird dream to see everyone again.

Hey I won an award...being Married the Longest!

Surprise!

My girlfriend Carrie wanted to throw a surprise party for her Grandma Helen (who I adore!) so we had a blast having all her friends over and enjoyed lunch and treats together.

Helen is the kindest & funniest person ever! You just light up when you talk to her.

My sister had a Panini Party so I had to copy her fabulous idea!
A few asked for the ingredients:
1st Panini: Pear, carmelized onions, fontina cheese, sage and ciabatta bread
2nd Panini: Pesto, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, basil and ciabatta bread

I had my mom make her fabulous veggie basket! It was payback since my sister & I always had to make it for her parties:) Thanks mom!Posted by Picasa

Our latest Project

Big Dave got us this wrecked trailer that was left in the tow yard. The guy left the title because he didn't have insurance and didn't want to pay to have it sent back to Nevada...so yeah for us!

We used a tow truck to straighten out the tounge and than we (paul & his dad) welded a new hitch on it.

The front had the most damage!

I was on cleaning duty-glass glass and more glass. Oh and a whole jar of grape jam.

Broken Cabinets among a few other things.

Temple Open House

Whats better than the Temple and cookies!

Say cheeseeee but please open your eyes!

My cute men!

3 out 4...we are doing better.

I was able to volunteer one morning for physical facitilites. I learned where every custodial closet and bathroom was in the Temple. I had a great time I also helped keep the grounds clean. Later on I got to clean the Temple before the dedication and I vacumed sealing rooms and cleaned all the marble thresholds. Any opportunity to work and serve in the Temple was fantastic. While we took the Open House tour we were able to see Elder Russel M. Nelson of the Quorum of the Twelve it was great!

Way better than flowers!

Instead of chocolates or flowers we (Mtn Crane) got Big Dave a zebra for surviving his accident! you wouldn't believe where the Zebra was born...Castledale Utah. They are breeded there and then shipped off to Temecula (my home town) until they are sold.
Dave can't pet him and hold the leash so the zebra just nudges his elbow and arm.
We figured it went well with his collection of animals-goats, miniture donkey, buffalo and now a zebra.

The Grand kids have their very own petting zoo.

Daddys helping out their boys-too cute!
Logan's favorite color is green so he had his green ball and green club. Logan threw his ball in the water and thought it was funny. But he didn't like it when he realized he couldn't play anymore. So good thing for mommy who went wadding up to her shorts in water to get his ball.
Sorry no picture:(

Thumbs up!

Papa Belcher was in an accident on July 5th. He was helping tow a trailer when a driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the trailer Dave was trying to hook up. The trailer went forward hitting Dave in the shoulder, ribs (broke a rib) and hitting his hand and trapping it between the kingpin and tow truck. The owner of the trailer and a UHP officer were hit by the trailer as well and went flying over the cable median. Dave told the owner of the trailer to move the tow truck forward so he could get unstuck. His right hand was damaged extensively and he was in surgery for over 7 hours to reattach the thumb. We are still not sure if he will have mobility but as of now we are so blessed to have Papa Belcher thumb or no thumb.

After seeing the before surgery pictures of his hand it is a miracle that they saved it. The pictures are more grotesque then Paul's leg pictures but if you want to see them I will email them because I don't dare put them on the blog.
